This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI Polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Willing to work onsite in Reston, VA.
- Develop, test, and maintain frontend features using modern web frameworks (e.g., React or Angular).
- Translate wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts into high‑quality, responsive code.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences that meet mission requirements.
- Advocate for UX best practices and ensure accessibility and usability across all platforms.
- Own the design and usability of multiple applications and mentor junior developers.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross‑browser/device compatibility.
- Contribute to design discussions, user testing, and iterative improvements of our products.
- Stay current with frontend and design trends, tools, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3).
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (Angular or React).
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, design systems, and accessibility standards.
- Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD) and experience taking designs from wireframes and mockups to working user interfaces.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with and presenting to users and senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Experience in a government or defense contracting environment.
Pay Transparency
- The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $113,000.00 - $188,000.00 annually.
