UX Designer Job at Cypress HCM in California

We are looking for a hands‑on UX designer with experience in SaaS and enterprise software environments, adept at quickly understanding complex business challenges and translating them into high‑velocity wireframes that drive ideation.

This role is fully onsite in Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities

• Research user needs and behaviors through methods such as interviews, surveys, and product landscape analysis.
• Create light user personas and user flows to identify key user journeys and pain points.
• Build mind maps and user flows.
• Understand front‑end development process and limitations (basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS is a plus).
• Apply and promote our design thinking and design system.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, such as Product Managers, to create quick design concepts and prototypes aligned with business goals and technical constraints.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine and iterate designs.
• Continuously iterate designs and test new features to improve user experience through ideation and prototype phases.
• Design high‑fidelity and low‑fidelity designs for multiple platforms (mobile & web).
• Create prototypes for user testing and validation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in design with Enterprise SaaS software products.
• Proficient in visual design and information architecture; experience with Figma required.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS software products. (Experience with analytics products or new AI software is a plus.)
• Ability to ideate, iterate, learn, and improve designs based on feedback and whiteboarding with senior leadership.
• Leveraging Figma’s AI‑powered workflows for rapid prototyping and collaboration with senior leadership.
• Understanding of cloud‑native app development (DevOps, Agile, microservices, cloud platforms, containers like Kubernetes and Docker, CI/CD).
• Strong written and verbal communication for planning, explaining, and documenting ideas.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field.

Compensation: $70 - $92 per hour on W-2.
