Overview

BEPC is actively seeking a UX Researcher to join a team pioneering AI and agentic frameworks to transform drug discovery. In this high-impact, 6-month contract role, you'll serve as the critical link between our AI development teams and expert users, ensuring that our LLM-powered platforms are not only powerful—but also user-centric, intuitive, and effective.

Ideal candidates will have direct experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or AI agents, and/or a background in biotech, pharma, or life sciences where they have shipped internal software products or tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape AI Product Strategy Through Research: Lead UX research initiatives to guide product decisions around LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Design Specialized Usability Studies: Develop and execute studies tailored to evaluate the functionality and intuitiveness of AI-driven tools.
• Systematize User Feedback Loops: Create a structured process for collecting and analyzing qualitative feedback to continuously improve AI capabilities.
• Deliver Actionable Insights: Translate user behavior and needs into strategic design recommendations and product improvements.
• Build Testing Infrastructure: Establish internal UX testing protocols and user recruitment pipelines to support expert-level usability evaluation.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers and Scientists: Partner with cross-functional teams to interpret scientific workflows and ensure seamless tool integration.
• Influence Stakeholders: Present research insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, impacting roadmap decisions and design strategy.

Qualifications Required

• 3–5+ years of experience in UX research, usability testing, and product strategy
• Strong expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Experience with LLMs, AI agents, or related AI technologies
• Familiarity with usability platforms like User Testing or Content square
• Proven ability to align UX research with product and business goals
• Strong communication and data synthesis skills
• Passion for tackling ambiguity in highly technical domains

Highly Preferred

• Experience working in biotech, pharma, or scientific research organizations
• Prior involvement in launching internal tools or enterprise software
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based apps or Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Proven collaboration with scientists or subject matter experts in technical environments
• Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
• Pay Type: W2 Contract | $90.00 - $96.74 per hour
