Tailored Brands, Inc. is hiring: Sr UX Designer in Dublin
Tailored Brands, Inc., Dublin, CA, United States, 94568
Overview
Tailored Brands is a leading specialty retailer of menswear, including suits, formalwear, sportswear, and a broad selection of business casual offerings. Our brands include Men's Wearhouse, Jos. A. Bank, Moores and K&G Fashion Superstore, which offers merchandise for the entire family. We help people love the way they look and feel for their most important moments by delivering personalized products and services through our convenient network of stores and e-commerce sites.
About The Job We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior UX Designer to join our eCommerce team, reporting directly to the Director of User Experience. You’ll lead strategic, high-impact initiatives across Men’s Wearhouse and our family of brands—shaping patterns that scale, mentoring peers, and driving measurable improvements in conversion, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
Success in this role hinges on three things: (1) applying expert design craft to complex e-commerce challenges, (2) partnering seamlessly with product management and engineering at both squad and cross-brand levels, and (3) communicating ideas persuasively—equally strong in written rationale, executive-level presentations, and compelling storytelling.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
- Elevate our digital shopping experiences—owning large, strategically important projects and advocating for quality, accessibility, and cohesive patterns across responsive touchpoints.
- Define vision, metrics, and outcomes: set clear success measures (conversion, AOV, engagement KPIs), validate with research, and iterate to exceed them.
- Lead end-to-end design workflows—from framing problems and exploring solutions to shipping polished UI and interactive prototypes (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC).
- Standardize patterns and raise the bar—identify cross-brand design opportunities, unify experiences where it matters, and articulate deviations when they add value.
- Collaborate daily with Product & Engineering—align on strategy, unblock delivery, and ensure the shipped experience matches the design intent.
- Tell persuasive visual stories: present to directors and VPs, defend decisions with data and insights, and inspire stakeholders toward the best outcomes.
- Mentor without formal management: coach mid-level designers through critiques, pairing sessions, and feedback that accelerates their growth.
- Document your thinking—craft concise briefs, articulate trade-offs, and share learnings so teams can move faster and smarter.
- Bias toward action: surface new opportunities, drive momentum across squads and banners, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of professional experience in product, UX, or UI design (retail / eCommerce strongly preferred).
- Portfolio of shipped, customer-facing, responsive experiences demonstrating exceptional visual design, strategic impact, and clear linkage to business metrics.
- Mastery of user-centered design methods, systems thinking, information architecture, and rapid prototyping.
- Expert-level proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD & CC, and related tools.
- Proven ability to drive quantitative outcomes—you’ve moved the needle on conversion, engagement, or revenue and can show how.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication—comfortable influencing executive leadership and aligning cross-functional partners around a vision.
- Track record of mentoring designers and elevating team culture while working hands-on to deliver high-quality work.
- Action-oriented mindset: you navigate ambiguity, iterate quickly, and consistently deliver above expectations.
- Bonus: Deep research expertise—leading Jobs-to-Be-Done interviews, assumption-mapping exercises, and facilitation of design-thinking workshops that uncover insights and align teams.
Note: Please apply even if you do not meet every requirement; we encourage candidates who can meet most requirements and are open to discussion.
Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
