JOB TITLE
Frontiers Editor
JOB PURPOSE
To provide a consistent editorial and managerial organization for the production of the UW Student Media’s Frontiers and magazines. To exert personal leadership in the carrying out of prescribed responsibilities, duties and deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage overall magazine production (i.e. office organization, planning, content, deadlines).
 - Provide coordination and consultation with Student Media staff in production of magazines.
 - Provide supervision and training of magazine staff.
 - Provide short- and long-term plans for magazine program.
 - Provide report of magazine operations to Student Media Board, including both verbal and written reports.
 - Maintain a working relationship with Student Media online editor for timely publication of magazine content.
 - Maintain at least 15 office hours a week.
 - Help advertising sales staff with advertising efforts.
 - Other duties as assigned.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Full-time student.
 - Minimum 2.5 GPA.
 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Some supervisory experience.
 - Some general experience in writing, photography and graphic design.
