Premier Media Group publishes a portfolio of award-winning magazines, including 425, 425 Business, Northwest Travel + Life, Southwest Travel + Life, South Sound, West Sound, and South Sound Business. Each publication stands out for its unique content and design, available through subscriptions, retail locations across coverage zones, and distribution at select hotels and resorts.
This year, we’re excited to expand with the addition of West Sound, and we’re looking for a talented designer to join our creative team. As a key contributor, you’ll create the design of our magazines, house marketing campaigns, websites, newsletters, and support company efforts that elevate all our brands.
What You Will Do
As a graphic designer, you will design our publications and marketing materials, collaborating closely with the creative leadership, fellow creatives on other brands, and editorial team. Your responsibilities will include:
Magazine layout and design
Create visually engaging layouts using text, images, icons, using principles of design, color theory, and typography to produce high-quality designs.
Apply feedback from the creative leadership and editorial staff to refine designs.
Ensure files meet print and digital production standards.
Work well remotely and independently designing, creating media.
Utilize current brand design guidelines all the while incorporating your creative excellence and footprint.
Source art and contribute in the artistic photo process.
Marketing collateral
Design digital and print materials such as one-sheets, advertising, newsletter, web banners, and ads.
Create compelling visuals to promote publications across multiple platforms.
Production support
Provide support for material collection and preflight for client ads.
Support communication with print vendors to ensure timely production and high-quality result as needed.
Organization
Maintain design folders, photo libraries, and server management to ensure an efficient workflow.
Stay up to date on design trends and contribute creative ideas to elevate our publications.
Self-manage with excellence and strong work ethic.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
College degree in graphic design or a related field.
4+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in magazine or publication layout.
A portfolio (online or PDF) demonstrating relevant skills in print and publication design.
Technical skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
Strong understanding of graphic design principles, including page layout, color theory, and typography, particularly as they apply to magazine design.
Familiarity with digital image specs for web and social media.
Basic understanding of print production and file preparation.
Soft skills
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn.

This is a majority work-from-home position, however, preference will be given to those living in or near Kitsap County in Washington state, as there are some in-person meetings and events
