Architectural Designer (Lubrano Ciavarra Architects, PLLC, Brooklyn, NY): Creating architectural drawings using computer-aided design (“CAD”) software, including Revit and AutoCAD, and maintaining company CAD standards for various residential, commercial, institutional, and hospitality projects; Utilizing architectural designs and schematics in order to generate detailed three-dimensional visualizations in rendering software programs such as Rhino and V-Ray for both internal use and client presentations; Working with senior architects in order to develop technical systems detailing on a project-by-project basis; Developing creative solutions based on customer needs and creating presentation materials to aid in the visualization of final architectural products; Preparing material palettes, proportion studies, finishes, and other design work required for assigned projects; and Working cross-functionally with outside stakeholders including client outreach, project management, and coordination with consulting engineers. In order to perform the above tasks, the following experience and skills are required: Experience with visualization and the conceptual design process; Experience keeping abreast of global design trends, international design and development, precedents and new construction trends worldwide; Experience with construction standards and codes, materials, and building systems, in the US and abroad; Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe CS (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Rhino, Revit, Bluebeam, Enscape, and V-ray; Experience maintaining and optimizing the efficiency and accuracy of Revit models; Experience communicating via hand sketching; Experience with architectural detailing including both functional standards and custom elements; Experience resolving detailing when faced with new technologies in materials; Experience working with NYC codes and zoning; Experience with construction and reviewing fabrication shop drawings, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing, materials and millwork submittals; Experience with maintaining meeting minute work order logs; Experience creating Construction Documents, Design Development Drawings, Schematic Design Schemes, Schedules and Specifications; Experience developing and coordinating design with multiple outside consultants including engineers and designers. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture or related field, and at least a year of experience as a Design Architect, Intern, or related occupation.
