Overview
Developing and executing on regional communications strategy for Global Markets, Global Investment Banking, and Global Corporate Banking in the U.S. — supporting internal and external communications for FICC, Equities, Research, and Corporate & Investment Banking. Managing relationships with journalists and developing media content for external brand recognition. Regularly developing content for intranet, CMWeb, to tell a compelling mix of business, strategy, CSR, and people profile stories and taking accountability for strong content and success against established metrics. Working with spokespeople to ensure they are media trained and proactive in generating opportunities to build RBC’s brand through external content. Supporting regional town halls and employee engagement initiatives such as leadership roundtables and leadership forums. Innovate around new communications methods and tools, providing fresh content for internal communications channels. Draft, format and issue leadership messages on strategy, values, culture and other business topics as they relate to CM. Collaborate with global colleagues in the development and rollout of firm-wide and RBC enterprise-wide internal and external communications initiatives. Work closely with Marketing to build our social media presence. Measure and report, on an ongoing basis to the senior leadership of the Communications team, the success of internal communications for Capital Markets globally. Manage internal communications strategies around CSR initiatives (e.g., RBC Race for the Kids) and diversity activities (e.g., Day of Pink, International Women’s Day). Contribute to the success of the overall goals of the Brand, Marketing, Communications & Citizenship team, including supporting a strong ONE RBC culture. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $165,000 per year. Minimum Requirements
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Communications, Media Studies, or a related field and 8 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience. Must have 8 years of experience in each of the following: Managing complex reputational issues; and Managing social media risk. Must have 6 years of experience in each of the following: Translating Capital Markets concepts into communications support; Providing communication support to global markets and investment banking divisions; Serving as lead strategic communications advisor to global markets and/or investment banking leaders; Poppulo tool to send firm-wide emails to all employees; and Hearsay tool for managing firm-wide social media use. Salary and Benefits
The base salary for this job is $165,000 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
