Design for Living is a boutique interior design studio based in El Dorado Hills. We create spaces that feel lived-in, layered, and deeply personal. We’re looking for a creative, organized, and proactive Design Assistant who loves the design process as much as the finished product. Someone who thrives on the details, enjoys collaboration, and isn’t afraid to get their hands a little dusty on install day. What You’ll Do
You’ll work closely with Alison to bring projects to life from start to finish, supporting both the creative and administrative sides of the design process. Design Support
Help onboard new clients and organize project details Create design presentations in Canva, AutoCAD, and Sketchup Assist with drawings, layouts, and sourcing Pick up and return samples, accessories, and materials Attend design meetings, take notes, and send follow-up communication Send weekly project updates to clients Prepare proposals, process orders, and track purchases Manage damaged item replacements and logistics Create construction binders and assist with punch lists Help with furniture installations, styling days, and photoshoots Social Media & Marketing
Capture behind-the-scenes moments of the design process Take photos and videos for social media and reels Create social media and marketing materials Admin & Project Management
Track new leads and manage inquiries Maintain and organize the design library Help with Dubsado setup and workflow management Log time and tasks in Studio Designer Assist with vendor relations, trainings, and holiday gifting What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of experience in an interior design or creative field preferred Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Canva, Studio Designer, and Microsoft Office A great eye for detail, color, and composition Highly organized, dependable, and self-motivated Comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines Excellent communicator- written and verbal Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation What We Offer
