Audio Video Engineer (La Jolla) – Agile Global Solutions, Inc. La Jolla, CA. Apply Today!!! We are looking for a contractor to join our team. AV IT ENGINEER San Diego, CA. Long Term Contract. Responsibilities Onsite troubleshooting of AV issues with projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, and control systems. Load and manage program files on Crestron controllers/processors and perform firmware updates. Install and configure AV systems, ensuring functionality and compliance with design specifications. Provide user support and training, translating technical concepts into clear, non-technical guidance. Collaborate with IT teams, facilities, and vendors; document work and plan upcoming projects. Morning ticket review and prep to ensure classrooms and lecture halls are ready for scheduled events. Provide program and system updates and ongoing preventive maintenance as required. Support multi-project environments while wearing multiple hats in a dynamic campus setting. Key Skills & Experience Strong Crestron expertise with hands-on experience in designing, installing, and supporting audiovisual systems in educational environments. Experience installing, troubleshooting, and servicing AV equipment including projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, and control systems. Proficient in loading and managing program files on controllers/processors; strong background in AV system design and implementation. Program and project management experience; ability to handle multiple projects and coordinate with IT, academic departments, and vendors. Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users (teachers, professors). Detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, IT teams, and vendors. Experience in on-site support, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in dynamic environments. Touchpoints include AV control systems (Crestron), displays/projectors, audio DSPs, video conferencing tools, networked AV devices, and classroom technology systems. Experience in CISCO environments. Certifications & Experience CTS required or equivalent CTSD preferred; certification in Biamp Audia/Tesira programming and minimum of one year of experience setting up and configuring Biamp Audia equipment. Seven (7) years of related experience in design, maintenance, and/or operation of audiovisual systems in education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus three (3) years of related experience. Background & Compliance Standard background check as required by the client; additional background screening may be required. Driving Capability: able to operate a van and electric cart on campus for transporting AV equipment and supporting events. Licensing & Insurance: valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record. Compliance Program: participation in the DMV Pull Notice Program (annual driving record monitoring).
