Our Marketing team is charged with bringing that spirit to life-combining brand storytelling with modern digital performance. We're seeking a Creative Strategist who can merge the art of narrative with the science of data, transforming insights into creative that converts and inspires.
About The Role:
The Creative Strategist serves as the channel champion for OluKai's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Amazon business channels. Sitting at the intersection of performance marketing and brand storytelling, this role ensures OluKai's digital advertising and eCommerce content are as authentic as they are effective.
You will translate key eCommerce and media performance metrics-traffic, conversion rate, AOV, CAC, attribution, and incrementality-into actionable creative insights. Through deep platform understanding, you'll inspire creative teams to develop world-class advertising across UGC-driven content, paid social, video, static, and emerging ad formats.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Channel Strategy & Insights
- Serve as the voice and advocate for the DTC and Amazon channels in the GTM process, ensuring creative development aligns with platform and audience needs.
- Synthesize campaign data into actionable insights and creative hypotheses that fuel iteration and growth.
- Inform channel-specific strategy across Meta, Google, YouTube, AppLovin, Amazon, streaming, and linear TV and other channels.
- Translate performance data and consumer insights into clear, inspiring creative briefs.
- Lead briefing sessions with the Creative and Performance Media teams, ensuring each campaign has channel-specific intent and measurable goals.
- Drive creative across ad types including:
- UGC and creator-led ads (authentic, relatable storytelling)
- Product and lifestyle video
- Static and carousel formats
- Testimonial and review-based ads
- Amazon-optimized imagery and content
- Ensure all creative maintain the premium look, tone, and craftsmanship synonymous with OluKai while optimizing for performance.
- Partner with eCommerce and paid media teams to evaluate creative effectiveness, performance metrics, and audience response.
- Champion a culture of rapid testing, learning, and continuous improvement-using creative variations to refine results.
- Deliver clear performance reporting and creative learnings to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, and E-Commerce teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across channels.
- Infuse OluKai's values of Aloha, quality, and connection into every campaign.
- Encourage an agile, collaborative environment that celebrates innovation and craft.
- Bachelor Degree in related field
- 8-10 years of experience in digital marketing, performance creative strategy, or growth-oriented content development.
- Background in agency or in-house eCommerce brand environment preferred.
- Deep understanding of paid media and creative optimization on Meta, Google, YouTube, and Amazon.
- Proven success translating data and insights into creative briefs that drive measurable results.
- Strong knowledge of DTC metrics (AOV, CAC, ROAS, CVR, ACOS, attribution, incrementality).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborative, resourceful, and energized by fast-moving creative environments.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $111,000 to $140,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
