Located in Cleveland, OH. Full‑Time, Hybrid. The Technical Designer is responsible for commercial kitchen design, draft layouts, production drawings, and presentation drawings. This position provides drawing support to Designers and Project Managers. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Produce construction documents and collaborate with architects and engineers for integration of foodservice equipment designs and utility rough‑in drawings. Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit to coordinate with design team members. Have a technical understanding of plumbing and electrical systems and identify and locate utility services required for proper installation of foodservice equipment. Produce foodservice equipment elevations and incorporate appropriate construction details. Proactively communicate and manage lead times to meet project needs timely. Attend project meetings with project designer or project manager when necessary. Learn TriMark’s preferred vendors and assist with specifying manufacturers. Advance capabilities to perform position with greater efficiency annually. Conduct oneself in a professional manner fostering positive relations with customers, vendors, and internal personnel. Participate in department meetings and vendor training sessions. Other duties as assigned by Manager. Competencies Superior customer service attitude with commitment to the customer, team, and company. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Foster positive relations and communications with departmental personnel, IT, Purchasing, Installers, Sales, Marketing, and other TriMark Division design/contract management departments. Strong relationship building skills with customers, general contractors, architects, manufacturers and vendors, and other trades on job sites. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Highly motivated and self‑directed with strong professional work ethic. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 1–2 years in a professional or internship experience in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction related field or equivalent military or practical experience. Basic working knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit. Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and MS Operating system with intermediate or better proficiency. Must complete CFSP Test within first 3 years of employment. Previous foodservice industry experience preferred. Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
