About the Role
As a Sales Advisor, you'll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, welcoming and guiding customers through your store to actively sell our products and provide customers with support and guidance. You'll use your fashion and product knowledge to provide customers with all the relevant information they need for the best experience. You will also work on garment refill and care, presentation and contribute to a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house, working closely with the rest of your store team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities.
- Provide excellent customer service: welcoming and guiding customers through the store and the OMNI experience where available, supporting them with direct customer service
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service
- Guide customers through fashion trends, stories and products in all areas of the store
- Effectively promote and sell products to customers
- Promote our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives
- Represent the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions
- Support commercial or operational actions to reach sales targets with the store management team
General Information
Fashion & Trend Awareness
- Keep up-to-date with fashion trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors and relevant influencers
- Use product and fashion knowledge to share relevant information with customers
Team & Development
- Retain and share service, fashion and store operations knowledge with colleagues
- Follow procedures, routines and legal requirements in all areas of the store
- Give and receive feedback with colleagues to learn, develop and support each other
- Participate in onboarding, introduction processes and trainings relevant for your role and development
Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution
- Complete full garment cycle from unpacking and refill to steaming and garment care
- Operate fitting room and checkout areas according to best practice and processes
- Contribute to a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house (including stockrooms)
- Support garment presentation and displays according to visual and commercial guidelines
- Ensure good stock levels with replenishment routines on the sales floor
- Maintain in-store OMNI services and tools (Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store, etc.)
- Assist with opening and closing of the store
- Follow all H&S guidelines and legal requirements applicable to the role
Qualifications
- As a Sales Advisor, you'll be passionate about fashion and what we create in-store
- Motivated by giving customers a great experience
- Communicative, creative and curious, motivated, flexible, decisive and action-oriented
- Enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic environment
- Have sales experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment that you can apply to your role
- Experience with customer service in fashion, retail or other service-related industries
