Assistant Professor of Music Education The School of Music at Texas State University seeks an engaging, creative, collaborative, and dedicated teacher/scholar to serve as a tenure‑line Assistant Professor of Music Education with a specialization in string music education. Duties begin August 2026. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in string music education and other topics according to the candidate’s qualifications and needs of the School of Music. Supervise student teachers and graduate‑level capstone projects. Maintain a record of scholarly activity and make substantive professional contributions to the field of music education. Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and service activities, including recruitment. Possible leadership role as a master teacher or director with the TXST String Project.
