Learn More About ProSidian Consulting at www.ProSidian.com. Job Description ProSidian seeks a Long Beach - VA VISN-22 Court Reporter to support an engagement for Government - Federal sector clients. The assignment involves Court Reporting services for the Westeran States Network Consortium in relation to the VA Long Beach Health Care System. The Veterans Health Administration provides healthcare services to eligible veterans at VA medical centers and clinics nationwide and offers related benefits and services. This is a Non-Exempt | Contract Contingent position aligned with the Court Reporter labor category. Ideal candidates possess the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges, while engaging in productive dialogue focused on mission success. Candidates shall support requirements for program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience and provide Court Reporting Services to the Westeran States Network Consortium. Candidates must have competence in Court Reporting with appropriate equipment to produce accurate, timely, bound and indexed transcribed testimony. Punctuality and professional demeanor are required; provide necessary equipment and materials to perform duties. Proficiency in English is required for reading portions of the transcript and clarifying inaudible statements if requested. Experience with AIB, MSPB, Equal Opportunity hearings, or arbitration hearings is preferred. Candidates must be able to administer oaths. Depositions shall be transcribed by a duly authorized notary. Candidates must be flexible to accommodate turnaround requests. Work products must be thorough, accurate, and comply with established criteria. Qualifications The position requires consecutive employment history in roles with comparable responsibilities within the past five years. Candidates must be able to use a computer (email) and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools. Technical proficiency: ability to speak, read, and write English fluently. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to bend, pull/push/lift up to 20 pounds, reach, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods (with or without accommodation). CREDENTIALING AND PRIVILEGING: High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of court reporting experience and certification as a National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) Registered Professional Reporter (RPR), or equivalent. Credentials must be provided upon request. TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required. Location: VA Long Beach Health Care System.
