ECS is currently hiring a Civil Drafter/Designer to join our team in the Southeast. As a Drafter/Designer at ECS you will generate and review designs for geotechnical related projects in the public infrastructure sector, specializing in MicroStation and related tools.

Key Responsibilities

This position primarily involves computer aided drafting of site maps, soil boring logs, soils boring location diagrams, and soil boring profiles

Other responsibilities may include generating design drawings for retaining walls, reinforced slopes, foundation systems, drainage systems, or other engineering drawings

Additional responsibilities include drafting engineering details and figures

Assists with plan assembly duties from the direction of engineering staff

Coordinates with multiple design disciplines and various team members for design and coordination of major projects and deliverables

Ensure that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner

Ensure adherence to established company or client stated MicroStation standards

Transform initial rough designs/sketches and redlines/mark-ups into finished graphics/construction/inspection drawings; Improve communications through documentation

Work closely with project managers, project engineers, designers, and other draft technicians

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School or GED required, technical degree, diploma, certificate or equivalent in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MicroStation

Experience drafting and designing retaining walls, reinforced slopes, foundation design, and other related drawings
