Communications Coordinator – North Carolina State University, College of Engineering Essential Job Duties The Communications Coordinator supports the College of Engineering’s Communications team by managing social media, creating engagement storytelling, maintaining the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering website, and designing visual content for departmental events. The role also supports alumni engagement and undergraduate recruitment through web, print, and email marketing.

Responsibilities

Social media management for LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Facebook.

AP‑style journalistic writing and WordPress content updates.

Visual design and video capture for produced and live events.

Website content maintenance and development.

Support alumni and recruiting communications.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

1–2 years of relevant experience (preferred).

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

Experience with AP style, Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, and social media platforms.

Knowledge of web design principles and branding guidelines.
