BNP Associates, Inc., a global leader in air transportation consulting and engineering, has an immediate need for a Drafter/Designer in one of our U.S. offices – Denver, Fairfield, Tampa, Dallas, or Chicago. Job Description We are seeking a talented Drafter/Designer with a strong background in architectural drafting to join our team. The ideal candidate will produce detailed drawings and models, collaborate with project teams, and ensure accuracy and adherence to design standards. Key attributes include teamwork, the ability to work under minimal supervision, and strong motivation to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed Revit models and designs for airport systems, including baggage handling and cargo operations.
Utilize CAD/BIM software efficiently and effectively.
Maintain drawing accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company and industry standards.
Prepare conceptual drawings and sketches to support design coordination, client presentations, and internal reviews.
Produce construction documents for various projects using Revit.
Collaborate with architects and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
Assist in the BIM coordination of multi‑disciplinary designs using Navisworks.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on drafting progress.
Review and incorporate feedback from team members and clients.
Stay updated on industry trends and software advancements to enhance design capabilities.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in architectural drafting using AutoCAD and Revit; AutoCAD or Revit skills are required.
Experience modeling conveyor systems and/or MEP systems in Revit is preferred.
Strong knowledge of architectural design principles and building codes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Familiarity with additional design software (3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
Education
Associate degree in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
Technical education, such as a 2‑year drafting program or a certificate of completion from an accredited design/draft curriculum.
Working Conditions
This is a full‑time position based in our U.S.-based offices – Denver, Fairfield, Tampa, Dallas, or Chicago.
The role requires occasional travel to airports within the U.S. for site‑based work as well as travel to architectural and engineering partners’ offices.
Successful candidate must pass criminal background checks and screening to obtain airport security badges.
Must be able to report to one of our U.S. office locations for an 8‑hour shift.
Standard 40‑hour work week with occasional additional time required to meet deadlines.
Salary $55,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. We are seeking intermediate to senior‑level candidates to be considered for this position.
