Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey seeks a Digital Humanities Librarian for the Margery Somers Foster Center.
Key Responsibilities
Develop two digital humanities projects using data from the CWGL – Center for Women’s Global Leadership Resource Center collection (≈ 950 titles).
Receive expert guidance from the Digital Humanities Librarian and GIS Specialist. The projects include:
Identify themes represented in the collection using the Voyant web‑based text‑analysis tool.
Map the locations of women’s advocacy groups and publishers with Esri ArcGIS software, creating an interactive world map that visualizes women’s and gender activist organizations worldwide.

$31.84 per hour

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Library Science with a Master’s in Information, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of metadata creation with demonstrated attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with publications from international activist groups that advocate issues on women, gender, and sexuality, in multiple languages.
