Job Title Civil 3D Designer

Job Description We are seeking a skilled Civil 3D Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing detailed civil design drawings and supporting the preparation of engineering design packages. You will collaborate closely with engineers on a variety of projects, including land development, stormwater infrastructure, and more. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team and expand your expertise in civil engineering design.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed civil design drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D.

Develop and manage surface models, grading plans, storm and sanitary pipe networks, profile views, alignments, and point groups.

Support plan set preparation and engineering design packages.

Collaborate with engineers on projects involving land development, stormwater infrastructure, dams, levees, geostructural systems, environmental remediation, and landfill closure.

Learn and apply CAD standards, workflows, and Autodesk Construction Cloud environment.

Communicate effectively with internal teams and respond constructively to feedback.

Essential Skills

3–4 years of experience using Autodesk Civil 3D.

Experience in a consulting design environment.

Exposure to full plan set development and engineering design workflows.

Strong understanding of civil infrastructure modeling tools.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Revit Structural.

Hybrid skill set in Civil 3D and Revit is highly desirable.

Familiarity with Army Corps of Engineers standards or workflows.

Exposure to environmental consulting or federal infrastructure projects.

Work Environment The position is based in a California office, with an initial on-site requirement in San Diego, Los Angeles, or Oakland. Candidates in Phoenix, Las Vegas, or Atlanta are encouraged to apply if highly qualified. After successful onboarding, there is potential for a hybrid schedule consisting of three days in office and two days remote. The role supports San Diego‑based projects but also involves national operations.

Job Type & Location Contract position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits Pay range: $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
