This internship position requires you to be based at the Staples Retail Corporate Headquarters in Framingham, MA.
Target Start Date: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026 (11-week program)
Position Overview:
Staples US Print and Marketing Services is looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals in retail & digital merchandising. As a Print & Marketing Services Intern, you will learn about competitive analysis, research, identifying trends and new products, proofing marketing assets, business analysis and more.
Staples is focused on our customers and our community. As an Intern for Staples, you will support the team in managing product lines for sales, margin, and supply chain. This involves research, ad hoc financial planning and analysis, promo planning and execution, digital and in-store marketing vehicle merchandising, and SKU set-up/maintenance. Includes exposure and communications across internal and external partners.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Maintain merchandising marketing calendar by entering promotions, submitting coupon codes
- Manage the SKU set-up and maintenance process
- Competition analysis maintaining calendar and reporting relevant data, online experiences, new product ideas, notable presentations, and pricing
- Conduct market research, gather industry data, track trends, themes, competitive shopping to assist with item selection and new service offerings
- Work closely within dedicated team and cross-functional teams on new strategic initiatives targeted towards driving sales and margin growth
- Support ad hoc product information requests including generating and analyzing reports
- Monitor and report out on ongoing performance for initiatives relative to financial goals
Whats Needed Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Must be a rising junior, enrolled as a full-time student carrying a minimum of 12 college credits
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through effectively
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
