This role is for an Associate Event Planner responsible for the logistics organization and delivery of Ingram Micros events, including basic one day meetings with attendees in the range of 50 to 500 guests, on-campus events, sales-facing events, reseller dinners, reseller happy hours, movie nights, and virtual experiences. The Associate Event Services Planner creates experiences, works with clients to identify needs, and ensures customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing the budget, researching venues and suppliers, coordinating between clients and suppliers, execution, onsite support, and overall event guidance. Travel is required (approximately 25%), and the job may require non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays.
Base pay range
$69,300.00/yr - $110,900.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Logistics organization and delivery of Ingram Micros events (50 to 500 attendees, on-campus events, sales-facing events, reseller dinners, reseller happy hours, movie nights, and virtual experiences).
- Create experiences and bring visions to life; work with clients to identify needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage budgets, research venues and suppliers, and act as the liaison between clients and suppliers.
- Execute events, provide onsite support, and offer overall event guidance.
- Possibly travel up to 25%; work non-traditional hours (weekends/holidays) as required.
Knowledge and Skills
- Foundational knowledge of meeting/event planning, travel industry, meeting software, and basic accounting practices.
- Foundational skills in negotiating, contract review, organization, customer service, oral and written communication, multi-tasking, site selection, web-based registration builds and operations, budgeting and account reconciliation.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure, work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, work independently, think creatively, and think on your feet.
Requirements
- Two plus years of work experience in service/hospitality, corporate meeting/corporate event planning; experience in problem solving and process improvement. A professional appearance and positive attitude is a must.
- Bachelors degree in hospitality or additional relevant experience in related field.
Pay and benefits context
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $69,300.00 - $110,900.00 per year. The ranges reflect potential base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range depends on location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range in effect at the time of hire. New hires generally fall in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
