Job Overview Librarian Information Specialist – P11557 at Tallahassee State College (TSC) Full‑time opening within Library Services. The position supports the integration and maintenance of the Integrated Library System, cataloging, data management, and information literacy instruction. What You’ll Do The Librarian Information Specialist is responsible for cataloging physical and digital materials, maintaining accurate records in statewide and national databases, and supporting the customization and implementation of the Integrated Library System. Responsibilities include original and copy cataloging, managing authority files, resolving data issues, recommending workflow, policy, and technology improvements, collaborating with faculty to integrate information literacy into the curriculum, and using data analytics and library systems to enhance discovery, improve services, and support informed decision‑making. Who We’re Looking For A master’s degree in library and information studies or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution. One year of experience related to customer service and library experience is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate strong technology skills related to libraries and higher education, including experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in library settings.
