Assistant Design Studio Consultant – Toll Brothers – Irvine, CA (Full‑time)
Overview
Assist new home buyers with color & option selections, and sales of upgrades at the Design Center in Irvine, California. The role is on‑site 5 days per week. You will work closely with Design Studio Consultants and cross‑departmental teams to complete paperwork, manage selections, and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist prospective buyers with tours, options selections, and product knowledge.
Provide scripted tours of the Design Studio environment, delivering engaging and professional presentations.
Lead and support night tour responsibilities, including meet & greet, category presentation, setup and cleanup.
Communicate product and house warranty information to buyers.
Enter buyer selections into Pivotal software and Excel, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
Complete buyer selection paperwork accurately and submit to Consultant by required deadlines.
Utilize the Toll intranet, Pivotal software, and Excel for product and builder information.
Interact with mortgage personnel to confirm buyer affordability and process final authorization via DocuSign.
Prepare and double‑check final document package for construction submission.
Process special requests with management approvals and answer phones as needed.
Provide status updates to Consultant and Design Studio Manager; deliver buyer feedback internally.
Maintain studio merchandising – manage samples, pricing, and physical appearance.
Walk through models with sales, construction, and marketing teams to ensure accurate selection execution.
Attend continuing education, trade partner training, and internal product meetings.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong grammar and clear organization.
Creative problem‑solving and ability to address business needs.
Excellent time management, prioritization, and detail orientation.
Customer‑service mindset with a hospitality focus and outgoing demeanor.
Team‑player able to collaborate across multiple departments.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with department‑specific technology (Pivotal, Toll intranet).
Availability for weekend and evening shifts.
Preferred
Sales‑oriented role experience assisting buyers with options and selections.
Design coordination experience – color, texture, finish, and style expertise.
Interior Design degree or relevant design coordination experience in homebuilding.
Compensation & Benefits
