Photographer and Videographer
University of Colorado Boulder – Leeds School of Business.
We are looking for a creative professional who will manage photography and videography projects from concept through post‑production, enhancing the Leeds brand and supporting marketing, recruitment, and alumni engagement.
Reporting
Assistant Director of Design and Visual Identity, Leeds Engagement, Marketing and Communications team.
Key Responsibilities
Photography
- Collaborate with team to concept, plan, and execute lifestyle photoshoots featuring students, faculty, and campus settings.
- Serve as primary or secondary photographer for 15–30 events annually.
- Manage workflow: shooting, editing, organizing, storing, and sharing assets in the digital library.
- Maintain and curate the Leeds photo/video library with filtered views for internal use.
- Train student photographers and enforce brand‑aligned standards.
- Coordinate logistics: locations, scheduling, subject coordination.
- Work in the Leeds studio for EMC projects using green‑screen or plain backdrops.
Video Production
- Concept, project manage, direct, shoot and edit videos covering student profiles, faculty research stories, events, and social content.
- Capture interview content in the Leeds studio using green‑screen or plain backdrops.
- Publish and store video assets, including YouTube and Vimeo accounts.
- Integrate photo/video into broader communication strategy and adapt content for various platforms.
- Recruit and manage photo/video student workers and external vendors.
- Manage technical equipment and gear.
Partner Support
- Collaborate with online/distance learning team to improve production value and consistency.
- Serve as second shooter with Leeds studio videographer, sharing equipment and cross‑training.
- Support requests for stock assets for presentations and academic productions.
- Provide standards, tools, and direction for partner communications.
- Stay current with photo/video trends and share best practices.
- Coordinate with campus photography/video teams to share resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 1+ years of experience as a photographer, videographer, and editor (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize, and collaborate.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working autonomously with independent judgment and teamwork.
- Experience managing and mentoring student workers and external vendors.
- Proficiency with DSLR, cinema‑grade equipment, motion graphics, and editing software.
- Experience creating content for web, print, social media; knowledge of AP style and university brand guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in higher education or business school settings.
- Studio production experience (teleprompter, backdrops).
- Project management skills for video production.
- Familiarity with motion graphics and motion‑design techniques.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $58,000–$64,000.
- Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.

Work Arrangement
Hybrid. Expected on‑site for photo and video shoots; remote for editing and non‑shoot tasks.
