Associate Account Director/Account Director, Influencer Marketing

Location: Remote, work from home with some travel (up to 25% of time) required for client and internal meetings.

The Role: Lead and manage cross‑regional influencer marketing teams for our client base, acting as a high‑level client liaison and internal escalation point. Deliver client‑centric strategy, performance, and growth across influencer, affiliate, and partnership channels. Own client service excellence, team development, and utilization and profitability.

Top 5 Job Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Growth (Strategic, Execution, Performance) – Provide high‑level strategic guidance, innovate new tactics, and identify expansion opportunities to achieve YoY growth KPIs. Draft expansion proposals and pitch internally and to clients.
  • Lead, Manage, and Hold Your Team Accountable – Oversee account teams, hire, develop, coach, and retain high‑performance members. Track team happiness and retention metrics, address performance issues, and promote a collaborative culture.
  • Superior Client Service (Communication, Satisfaction, Retention) – Build strong client relationships, act as the primary point of contact for 95% of escalations, and ensure clear communication that drives client trust and a NPS of 8+.
  • Resource Allocation & Profitability – Manage monthly utilization, staffing plans, and profitability. Adjust scope, maximize revenue, and maintain high retention rates and profit margins.
  • Internal Responsibilities – Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and Ops; streamline information sharing, lead process improvements, and identify risk mitigation strategies.

What Success Looks Like

By 6 Months

  • Oversee daily operations of multiple regional influencer programs.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with recognition as a trusted leader.
  • Deliver measurable growth and performance in line with client goals.
  • Coach teams and manage performance independently, with oversights only when necessary.
  • Maintain profitable client service with billing rate targets met and NPS 8+.

By 1 Year

  • Full ownership of program performance and regional responsibilities.
  • Consistent exceedance of client expectations and retention.
  • Maximize team and account efficiency; lead strategic plans and communication.
  • Secure ongoing expansion opportunities and client retention.
  • Deliver all deliverables at A‑caliber quality, meeting profit and satisfaction targets.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • 6+ years of digital marketing or agency experience.
  • Proven leadership track record: hiring, coaching, performance management.
  • Solid understanding of omni‑channel marketing and influencer programs for consumer brands.
  • Working knowledge of attribution and influencer/affiliate synergy.
  • Experience with creator platforms (CreatorIQ, GRIN, etc.) preferred.
  • Knowledge of affiliate networks or SaaS platforms preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% across the US or internationally.
  • Strong analytical, Excel, and reporting skills.
  • Strategic thinker capable of leading comprehensive influencer strategies.
