Job Title: Full-Time Children’s Librarian - 35hrs. / week

Rate of Pay: $16.12 per hour

Brief Description of Duties:

Under the supervision of the Library Director, the Children’s Librarian is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Children’s Department. This individual knows and loves children’s and young adult literature and is passionate about working with young people. This person is charged with building programs to link the library to community groups, schools, and homeschoolers. Works with children and young adults using creativity and resourcefulness to bring positive change to the youth and families of Berlin. The Children’s Librarian designs and provides engaging activities and programs that help young people develop their creativity, interests, and talents promoting and nurturing the habit of reading and library use, love of books and lifelong learning.
