Base pay range $37.27/hr - $47.47/hr Summary This individual will join as a member of Next‑gen Sequencing/Data Science to support scientific web application development projects. The work involves actively coding to deliver scientific application platforms for diverse viral and bacterial vaccine research projects. You'll participate in project meetings to present, communicate, and collect feedback to improve the products. A successful candidate will be passionate about problem solving, full‑stack application development, and process automation to provide easy‑to‑use computational tools and large‑scale database platforms. The role also involves exposure to AI/ML knowledge and integration of AI/ML components into web applications. The ideal candidate should be willing and enthusiastic about incorporating AI/ML techniques to enhance functionality and efficiency of the web applications. Significant experiences in relevant principles, concepts, and practices will make you a critical member of the team. You are proactive in contributing to the team discussions and creating an environment of collaboration. Your hard work and focus will help achieve new milestones and help patients across the globe. This is a contract position with a strong potential for extensions and conversion to a full‑time position depending on performance and availability. Responsibilities Build and maintain web applications in the Django framework. Write well‑structured, clean, and maintainable code with clear comments and documentation. Implement the applications and fix bugs in a timely manner. Develop code that demonstrates best practices and follows industry standards. Integrate cutting‑edge AI/ML tools into the web application. Basic Qualifications 2+ years of experience in Django framework. Strong coding skills in Python. Experience with SQL and MongoDB. Solid understanding of front‑end tools (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript) with Ajax. Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Proficient in AI/ML workflows and concepts. Basic understanding of biological molecules, such as DNA, RNA, and proteins. Excellent task planning, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Having a working example of a Django‑based web application. Strong data visualization skills. Experience in bioinformatics and data analysis. Experience in AI/ML. Pay Transparency The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $37.27 - $47.47/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full‑time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
