Title: UI Path Developer Location: onsite in Everett, WA 1 Year project Scope of Work: Executive Summary Safran s manufacturing and logistics operations currently face inefficiencies in crate assembly, shipment tracking, and part-level traceability. Missing or incomplete items in crates delay shipments and require manual rework, particularly for small components such as fasteners and fittings. Motion Consulting Group proposes to design and implement a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solution integrated with Safran s Infor SyteLine ERP and existing RFID tagging infrastructure. This solution will automate the capture, validation, and recording of RFID scan data into SyteLine enhancing traceability, reducing manual data entry, and improving overall accuracy and throughput within Safran s shipping and warehouse processes.

Proposed High-Level Solution This high-level conceptual solution was developed from an initial discussion. The design, scope, and cost elements will be refined as additional details are gathered through subsequent discovery sessions. Motion Consulting Group will implement an RPA-driven integration between Safran s RFID infrastructure and SyteLine ERP to automate crate-level tracking and part association.

Solution Components

RFID Tagging : Apply RFID tags to crates; tags store unique crate IDs linked to SyteLine job orders and BOMs.

RFID Capture Software : RFID reader transmits crate scan data to local workstation.

RPA Automation (UiPath) : UiPath bot monitors incoming RFID data, validates against SyteLine part/job information, and automatically updates SyteLine through its front-end interface.

Exception Handling & Alerts : If scanned crate data indicates missing or mismatched parts, bot notifies production/shipping via email or dashboard.

Audit & Compliance Layer : Each bot has a unique user ID; all transactions are logged and auditable within existing Safran IT governance standards.

Key Features

Real-time traceability: Automatic association of RFID-tagged crates to ERP job orders.

Error reduction: Eliminate manual data entry in SyteLine.

Faster shipment readiness: Immediate visibility into missing or incomplete crates.

Scalability: Extendable across additional business units and manufacturing sites.

Solution Diagram Implementation Approach

Phase 1 Discovery & Design (1-2 Weeks)

Conduct process walk-throughs with warehouse, production, and IT teams.

Map RFID-to-SyteLine data flow and identify required fields.

Define automation logic, exception scenarios, and security permissions.

Validate environment (RFID software, UiPath server, SyteLine front-end).

Phase 2 Development & Configuration (3-4 Weeks)

Develop UiPath bot scripts for data capture, validation, and ERP entry.

Configure RFID capture interface to send data to UiPath.

Conduct unit testing with pilot crates and job orders.

Phase 3 Pilot Implementation (1 Week)

Deploy to pilot business unit (e.g., Everett plant).

Train key users on bot monitoring and exception handling.

Collect performance data and refine automation logic.

Phase 4 Rollout & Governance (1 Week)

Document bot deployment procedures and governance standards.

Define long-term ownership (Bot Center of Excellence).

Plan replication to additional Safran business units.

Total Estimated Timeline: 5-7 weeks for delivery.
