Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) Location: [Add City, State if desired] Sansom Staffing has partnered with a leading facility design firm to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) for their Facilities Design Team . This role focuses on designing HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping systems (compressed air, nitrogen, vacuum, etc.) for industrial, R&D, and commercial facilities. You’ll collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team across architectural, structural, electrical, and fire protection disciplines. Key Responsibilities Design and analyze HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. Perform load calculations and select mechanical equipment. Create detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Conduct field investigations and support construction coordination. Attend client and project meetings; provide scope and proposal input. Qualifications B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of facility mechanical design experience. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or eligible for reciprocity via NCEES. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems; ASHRAE standards. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
