Job Title: BIM DesignerJob Description
As a BIM Designer, you will be responsible for modeling electrical systems based on markup drawings and verbal directions from electrical detailers. Your expertise in setting up Revit views and sheets will be crucial in preparing shop drawings, which you will annotate and dimension for field installation. You will utilize Bluebeam Revu software to markup PDF drawings and communicate effectively with team members. Additionally, you will prepare document sets for transmittal, download necessary drawings and information, and ensure the accuracy of your work before sharing it with others.
Responsibilities
Model electrical systems based on markup drawings and/or verbal direction.
Setup Revit views and sheets for shop drawings.
Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation.
Use Bluebeam Revu to markup PDF drawings and communicate with the team.
Prepare document sets for transmittal to other parties.
Download drawings and information from online sources such as SharePoint or project websites.
Check your work for accuracy before passing it on.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and understanding of electrical symbols and standards.
Experience working on mission-critical projects such as data centers and high-tech facilities.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a BIM Designer and modeling electrical systems.
High proficiency in Revit (8/10), Bluebeam (7/10), and related software functions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
A.A. in Drafting in Design.
Experience with 3D coordination with other trades.
Work Environment
This position is on-site at the Mesa office. The work environment includes the use of advanced technologies such as Revit and Bluebeam.
