Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Studio Leadership:
Lead and develop the careers of a studio team, consisting of Studio Guides (front desk) and Estheticians (service providers); being the direct line manager for the Studio Guide Team
Maintain studio(s) to Glowbar standards, ensuring all Studio Guide and Esthetician duties are adhered to
Sustain a friendly, compassionate environment, ensuring that each client receives an extraordinary, memorable experience as they navigate through the space and our retail assortment
Ensure studio teams are adequately supported during training and day-to-day
Provide feedback to Studio Manager on progress and challenges, paired with suggestions
Function as Manager on Duty when Studio Manager is out of studio and providing coverage as needed at 1 or 2 studios
Elevate the tone and culture of the studio as a brand ambassador and hospitality champion
Studio Support:
Collaborate on scheduling, ensuring staffing accuracy and schedule optimization
Support inventory management and forecasting to ensure accurate replenishment levels and retail and professional product availability
Manage all client support conversations stemming from studio inbox, client surveys (NPS) and Google reviews
Assist with facilities ticket management and audits in collaboration with the Operations team
Participate in marketing events onsite/offsite
REQUIREMENTS:
2+ year(s) of hospitality management experience (i.e. fitness, restaurant, retail, hotel, salon/spa, etc.) with a proven track record of superior team management and customer service; experience opening a store/studio from the ground up a plus
Must love hospitality and interacting with people
Must love being a servant leader and prioritizing feedback and development for the studio team
Strong understanding of retail operations, policies, and procedures
Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
Must be a forward-thinking problem-solver with a strong work ethic who has compassion for employees and clients
Passion for beauty, skincare, learning and trying new things every day!
Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule - must have weekend, holiday, and some early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability
Open availability 7 days a week
Must be willing to travel within 10 miles to other locations
Working Conditions:
At Glowbar, our studios are active, client-focused environments — and we want you to know what’s involved behind the scenes. Here’s what you can expect physically in this role:
Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the entire shift
Bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting (up to 15 pounds) — including merchandise, laundry, and back-of-house supplies
Climbing up and down stairs during shift operations
Remaining mobile and on your feet for the full duration of your shift (shift lengths may vary)
Exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels, particularly in laundry or supply areas
Performing operational tasks such as restocking, organizing supplies, and light cleaning
Required to work weekends, evenings and holiday to support our client demand
