Job Description We are seeking a professional and personable Surgery Authorizations Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that each Patient has a positive experience navigating through the surgical authorization process. You will respond promptly to inquiries, maintain accurate records, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, friendly, and familiar with insurance products.
Responsibilities
Answer patient questions via phone, email, and in-person
Obtain surgical and DME Authorizations
Coordinate with Surgery Scheduler regarding surgery dates
Communicate with patients regarding surgical quotes
Timely follow up on surgical authorization denials
Maintain detailed records of client interactions
Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive patient service
Qualifications
Knowledge of insurance products
High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS
Highly organized with strong time management skills
Familiarity with Google Workspace and other software applications
