seeks an exceptional and highly motivated Civil Site/Land Development Designer to support a variety of private and public development projects that shape the growth of our communities. We are looking for a collaborative professional who fosters a positive work atmosphere and has a proven record of producing high-quality design documents that keep projects on track.
What You'll Do
Support the design and development of private land development projects from concept through construction, working closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and developers. Prepare and refine site planning and design tasks, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, paving, utilities, parking, and site layouts for commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments. Draft and update construction documents, plats, zoning/rezoning packages, and permitting submittals in compliance with local ordinances, subdivision regulations, and state/federal requirements. Assist with site feasibility studies, due diligence reviews, and preliminary cost estimates to support client decision-making and project planning. Collaborate with architects, planners, contractors, and municipalities to ensure designs align with project goals and regulatory requirements. Provide technical support during the permitting and approval process with municipalities, planning commissions, and utility providers. Assist in tracking project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to support project managers in keeping work on time and on budget. Participate in client and project team meetings, providing updates on design progress and technical details. Learn and grow within the firm, with opportunities for mentorship and career development. Provide drafting and design support on select public infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, roadway, stormwater) as needed. Job Requirements
Who We're Looking For
Degree or technical training in Civil Engineering, CAD/Drafting, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in civil site and land development design for private projects such as commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use developments. Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality design documents. Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Benefits
