POSITION SUMMARY

The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior customer service while accurately and efficiently processing sports wagers. The Sportsbook Writer is the front-line representative of the sportsbook, assisting guests with placing bets, understanding wagering options, and ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory policies. This position requires attention to detail, a high level of accuracy in handling transactions, and a strong knowledge of sports and betting terminology.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide exceptional guest service by greeting all guests, answering questions about betting options, and assisting with bet placement. Accurately and efficiently process sports wagers through designated sportsbook systems, terminals, or kiosks. Maintain knowledge of current betting lines, odds, and sports events to assist guests and ensure accurate transactions. Verify identification and eligibility of guests for wagering in accordance with regulatory and company requirements. Handle cash and ticket transactions, issue payouts, and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area. Report any suspicious betting activity or technical issues to the Sportsbook Supervisor or appropriate personnel. Ensure all wagering transactions and guest interactions are conducted in compliance with internal controls and applicable regulations. Respond to guest concerns and inquiries with professionalism, escalating complex or unresolved issues to the Supervisor or Manager. Keep up to date on sportsbook promotions, rules, and new offerings to accurately inform guests. Assist in maintaining and updating odds boards, signage, and displays as directed. Participate in ongoing training and development as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance. Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer terminal and handle money accurately. Mental Demands:

Must be able to handle cash and reconcile drawer accurately. Must be able to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to perform basic math functions quickly and accurately. Must maintain confidentiality of guest information and wagering activity. Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a gaming environment with exposure to bright/flashing lights, noise, and smoke. Must be able to perform duties in an environment with frequent interruptions. Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior cash handling, customer service, or retail experience preferred. Sportsbook, casino, or hospitality experience a plus. Knowledge:

Basic understanding of sports and wagering terminology required. Familiarity with point spreads, money lines, and over/under bets preferred. Proficient with basic computer operations and point-of-sale systems. Other:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Level 2 - Sports Wagering License. Must complete all required company training. Must be 21 years of age or older.
