MOBIS Technical Center of North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS, a Tier 1 supplier and an affiliate under Hyundai Motor Group. MOBIS produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis, cockpit and front-end module), core system, eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. Mobis delivers the design and development of advanced engineering, autonomous driving, infotainment, component modules, safety, brake and steering systems, lamp, ICs/electronics and software development solutions that consider the safety and convenience of our customers as well as the future.
Essential Functions And Skills Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Develop and execute actionable short-/mid-/long-term marketing strategies and plans for North American Automotive market.
Collaborate with Planning & Analysis teams at HQ in Korea to capture automotive intelligence and analyze the competitive landscape, technology & market trends, and regulatory shifts.
Analyze major automotive OEM strategies, capture voice of customers (VoC), and integrate these insights with marketing strategies.
Work closely with key account executives and sales leaders to identify customers’ pain points and strategically identify target products to sell.
Develop strategies for promotion events (e.g. CES, tech show, road show, conference) and lead the execution in partnership with the global marketing team at HQ.
Act as the North American market subject matter expert (SME), closely interacting with OEM customers and industry leaders.
Provide strategic data and market intelligence support to key account executives and sales leaders.
Additional Required Skills/ Requirments
High level understanding of automotive industry landscape and market trends.
Detail-oriented approach to strategic planning and execution.
Ability to cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in deploying various B2B marketing approaches.
Proven customer-facing ability and skill in building rapport with automotive OEM customers and decision-makers.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required.
Be a team player.
Have great attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Korean language skill is not an essential requirement.)
Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation.)
Education/Certification/Years Of Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum 9 years of combined experience in product development, project management, or product marketing in EV/xHEV, IVI, SDV, Chassis, Lighting, or ADAS/AV domains.
At least 3 years of Marketing and/or Strategic Planning experience.
Automotive OEM marketing experience or experience at Automotive OEM is a significant plus.
MBA degree is highly preferred.
Physical Demands
Ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer and phone daily, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. (e.g., prototype samples or event materials).
Expected Hours Of Work
40 hours per week (must have a willingness to participate in occasional meetings with Korean teams during evening or nighttime hours.)
Possible extended hours during promotional events.
Work Environment
Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
Travel
Occasional international travel
Frequent local/domestic travel
