The Medical Writer (Medical Affairs) is an integral member of the Medical Team, responsible for translating complex scientific data into clear, compliant medical content across omnichannel communication tactics. The role collaborates closely with the Medical Director, cross‑functional teammates, and external stakeholders to shape and execute scientific strategies.

What You’ll Do

Develop core deliverables such as PowerPoint slides, manuscripts, video scripts, and executive summaries for medical communication projects, including promotional presentations, advisory board meetings, product theaters, educational videos, and digital solutions.

Perform literature searches and scientific research to support content development with evidence‑based, up‑to‑date information.

Contribute creative concepts during the ideation phase and collaborate with presentation and graphic designers on illustrations, animations, and creative applications of medical science.

Build relationships with clients and key opinion leaders, creating scientific content and executing communication strategies to educate healthcare professionals.

Conduct quality checks on all deliverables, ensuring scientific integrity and exactitude, and support Veeva submissions for client medical/legal/regulatory review.

Support project management by communicating and aligning with Account and Project Managers and actively participating in internal and client meetings.

Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements, upholding all applicable U.S. laws.

What You Should Have

Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MPH, MS) in a healthcare‑related field.

1‑3 years of experience in medical education or scientific communication within a pharmaceutical company or agency, or experience in scientific research, evaluation, or clinical insights.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in medical science.

Ability to critically evaluate the relevance, validity, and credibility of published medical literature.

Conceptual and functional knowledge of modern digital marketing practices and artificial intelligence applications.

Pay Range $75,000 to $85,000
