Overview LABUR is supporting a leading financial services client through a strategic modernization initiative aimed at transforming their client-facing digital platforms. This engagement centers on assessing and optimizing the front‑end architecture to improve scalability, performance, and user experience. A UI Architect will serve as a strategic advisor to technology leadership, identifying architectural gaps, recommending modernization strategies, and helping define the future‑state UI technology roadmap to support long‑term digital transformation goals.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed assessments of existing front‑end architecture, frameworks, and integration patterns across online platforms.

Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and performance bottlenecks in the current UI implementation.

Define modernization and migration strategies for legacy tech stacks, including recommendations for new frameworks, libraries, and tools.

Collaborate closely with the client’s CTO organization, enterprise architects, and development leads to align on architecture principles and target state design.

Provide architectural blueprints, technical recommendations, and performance optimization strategies.

Lead discussions and reviews with senior technology and business stakeholders, presenting findings and solution proposals.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in front‑end architecture and engineering for large‑scale enterprise or financial platforms.

Deep expertise in modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) and state‑management approaches.

Strong understanding of micro‑frontend architecture, modular UI patterns, and scalable design systems.

Proven experience consulting with CTO‑level stakeholders on technology modernization initiatives.

Solid understanding of performance tuning, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Background in financial services, wealth management, or digital client onboarding platforms.

Prior experience driving front‑end modernization initiatives from strategy through implementation.

Compensation $90 - $110 per hour – dependent on fit and experience.
