Contracted Communications Coordinator

The Contracted Communications Coordinator supports the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico’s mission by managing digital communications for two key initiatives: the Sweetheart Auction and the End-of-Year Giving Campaign. This independent contractor (approximately 20 hours per week, or more as needed) will create, schedule, and manage engaging online content to inform and inspire donors, sponsors, and the community.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Plan and execute communication timelines for the Sweetheart Auction and End-of-Year fundraising efforts.
Adapt written content into social media posts and digital news stories for the website. Prepare or edit visuals and assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign experience preferred).
Manage the Foundation’s Facebook and Instagram pages, scheduling regular posts aligned with campaign goals.
Other Information/Requirements:
2–4 years of professional experience in digital communications, marketing, or nonprofit fundraising.
Proficiency in Canva, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Approximately 20 hours per week; schedule is flexible, with occasional evening or weekend hours around major events.
