About The Opportunity Poplar Springs Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Music Minister whose primary focus is to lead and oversee the church’s music ministry. This position involves planning and directing all musical aspects of worship and ministry in a way that glorifies God and supports the mission of PSBC.
Key Responsibilities
Skilled in teaching, directing, and arranging choral and congregational music
Plan and lead Sunday worship gatherings, including song selection, order of service, and coordination with the Pastor
Recruit, train, and develop volunteers for the music ministry which include the choir, praise team, accompanists, and A/V team
Hold weekly choir rehearsals that are organized and spiritually enriching
Plan and lead music for special services and events
Supervise all aspects of the music and A/V ministries, as well as maintaining and organizing the music library, instruments, and technology
Oversee children’s and student choirs
Collaborate with the Finance Team to prepare and manage the ministry budget
Stay current with trends and tools in worship and church music
Required: Bachelor’s degree, Preferred: Graduate, Music, and/or Seminary degree; 3–5 years of experience leading worship, choir, and musical ensembles
