Music Discovery Day
is a free community event offering free music lessons in piano, trumpet, violin, group singing, African Drums, followed by a short concert featuring students and instructors. We expect
50 to 100 children and families . Volunteers keep everything welcoming, safe, and fun. Location:
First Christian Church of Atlanta, 4532 Lavista Rd, Tucker, GA 30084 Date:
Saturday, November 29, 2025 Shifts (choose one 4-hour shift): 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM (Setup and Preparation) 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Program) 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM (Clean Up) Roles (we’ll match your preference) Registration & Welcome Ambassador
- greet families, check-in, hand out materials Event Coordinator -
work with the Executive Director in preparing materials, schedules, handouts, Education Specialist
work with the Executive Director in preparing and compiling lesson plans, literacy games, and other educational activities Family Guide/Usher
- help families navigate stations and schedule Instrument Station Assistant
(piano/Drums/trumpet/Singing) - support teachers, manage flow (no teaching experience required) Literacy Games Facilitator
- lead simple activities (we provide instructions) Hospitality & Refreshments
- set up water/snacks, tidy area Mini-Concert Usher
- seating and transitions Set-Up/Breakdown Crew
- tables, signage, light equipment Media & Social
- take photos/video, short captions What You’ll Gain Same-day impact for local kids and families Service hours and
volunteer certificate

(while supplies last) A fun, music-filled community day! Requirements Friendly, reliable, and comfortable around children and families Age 16+
(under 16 accompanied by parent/guardian) Brief
on-site orientation
at shift start (10-15 minutes) For instrument-station or child-facing roles: sign a
code of conduct ; some roles may require a quick background check (ANAM covers costs) Dress code: comfortable shoes; plain top or ANAM event T-shirt (provided) Accessibility & Notes Venue is
