This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled CAD professional who wishes to be part of our expanding team. We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment at a CAD Technician/Designer level to help successfully deliver Muller's numerous river recreation and stormwater projects.
Muller Engineering Company is located in Lakewood, CO, where team members have the opportunity to collaborate in person. Our employees follow a hybrid work schedule, with majority of employees based throughout Colorado's Front Range. We welcome applicants from across the continental United States, with a preference for those located in Colorado or willing to relocate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide drafting and plan production services during concept, design and construction phases for a variety of civil engineering projects including river recreation and restoration projects, drainage and flood control facilities, utilities, water quality, and structures. Prepare design and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software as required. Be self-motivated, able to perform and solve problems independently without immediate direction of engineer and take the initiative to make sound decisions with minimal oversight. Take ownership of a project from start to finish, ensuring Quality Control and standardization of product. Ensure project deliverable packages adhere to company and client standards with attention to quality, budget, and schedule constraints. Coordinate and work with Project Team, including other CAD technicians, engineers, and support staff as well as subconsultants. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's or associate's degree or certificate in Drafting/CADD Technology. 5 to 10 years of demonstrated experience in civil engineering or related field. Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, including proficiency with Civil 3D design features such as alignments, profiles, surfaces, grading, pipe networks and corridors. Good understanding of surfaces, grading, and contours. SketchUp or other visualization program experience is a plus. Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills. A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals.
Salary Range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 dependent on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
