Are you passionate about automation controls and ready to lead innovative projects? Were looking for a talented and experienced Senior Controls Designer to help drive the development of automation control systems that are integral to our cutting?edge tool and systems designs. If youre a creative problem?solver with a knack for leadership and a commitment to excellence, you might be the perfect fit for our team! Key Responsibilities Lead & coordinate activities within our controls group, ensuring smooth collaboration and project success. PLC programming: write, debug, and optimize PLC programs using Rockwell or Siemens programming software. Project documentation: maintain and report project design and commissioning status to the Controls Manager through clear, organized documentation. Electrical diagrams: create electrical diagrams in compliance with Electrical Code and customer specifications. Pre?design involvement: participate in pre?design reviews to help shape our tooling and systems for optimal performance. Team & contractor oversight: direct both contractors and team members in the implementation of control system projects. Troubleshooting: assist in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues as they arise. Policy & safety: uphold company policies and safety procedures, ensuring that your team always operates at the highest standards. Performance & time reporting: provide valuable feedback during performance reviews and support accurate time reporting via our ERP system. Additional duties: embrace any additional responsibilities as assigned to keep our projects on the path to success.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of related work experience is preferred. Travel:

This role involves travel, typically 2 weeks at a time with alternating weekends at home. Depending on project needs and customer requirements, installation durations can range from 3 months to a year. Technical Skills: Proficiency in writing and debugging PLC programs using Rockwell or Siemens software. Hands?on experience with robotics, control systems, and machine operations. Solid knowledge of industrial communication networks, programming, and electrical/mechanical problem solving. Familiarity with Electrical Code and experience designing pneumatic, electrical, water, and hydraulic circuit prints using AutoCAD. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and reporting.
