Job Summary
The Director of Marketing is responsible for implementing and overseeing the execution of strategic marketing initiatives developed under the leadership of the AVP of Public Affairs & Marketing. This role ensures the successful delivery of integrated campaigns-with a focus on enrollment marketing-that align with institutional priorities and drive measurable outcomes. The Director of Marketing leads campaign execution, monitors performance, and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, including Admissions and academic leadership, to ensure marketing efforts are efficient, data-driven, and impactful.
This position provides operational leadership for the campaign marketing team and its campaign asset requirements, oversees workflows, and optimizes processes to support the AVP in achieving the university's branding, recruitment, and engagement goals.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individuals must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities-or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation-using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Strong knowledge of enrollment marketing strategies, including lead generation, funnel management, and digital campaign optimization. Proven ability to lead marketing strategy and conceptual creative work. Passion and interest in leading innovative marketing campaigns. Eye for effective copywriting and visual communication. Advertising buying, design, and placement. Must possess a strong working knowledge of project management, design and brand development, and marketing. Must be familiar with a variety of branding and digital marketing strategies, tools, and technologies. Must know how to nurture and adopt an existing brand to suit changing circumstances within the University and the industry. Must be incredibly self-motivated and innovative. Must be creative with a unique approach to persistent problems. Must be able to take charge of any situation, exerting a dominant vision and encourage others to support that creative vision. Must have exceptional communication skills and be able to bridge the gap between the academic and creative sides of the University. Must be able to multitask and manage several different projects at once. Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 3-5 years of experience leading enrollment marketing campaigns in higher education. Demonstrated success in managing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and multimedia platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:

Act as the primary marketing liaison to key university stakeholders, including Admissions, academic departments, and leadership, to align marketing initiatives with institutional priorities. Collaborate with campus partners to ensure marketing projects meet their specific needs while maintaining alignment with the university's brand and enrollment goals. Provide regular performance updates and campaign insights to stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and accountability. Champion a culture of collaboration, creativity, and shared purpose across marketing, admissions, and other cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

Oversee the development of high-impact creative assets, including digital advertising, landing pages, email campaigns, print collateral, and video content to support enrollment initiatives. Leverage marketing tools and best practices to optimize lead generation campaigns. Lead A/B testing and iterative improvements on messaging, visuals, and calls-to-action to maximize conversion rates. Monitor KPIs such as website traffic, application starts, cost-per-lead, and ROI, using data to optimize campaigns and demonstrate measurable impact. Key Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor marketing team members, providing strategic guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
