Position Title: FWS: Student Assistant, Marketing & Communications
About the PhARM Program: The Pharmacy Addictions Research & Medicine (PhARM) Program addresses systemic barriers, inequities, and stigma related to evidence-based substance use disorder treatment and harm reduction interventions by conducting innovative research and providing education and resources informed by people with lived experience to health professionals, paraprofessionals, academics, and community members.
Purpose:
To serve as a general student assistant to the Program & Communications Manager of the PhARM Program.
Responsibilities: Create engaging marketing materials and content (social media posts, flyers, newsletters, website updates, content management, etc.).
Apply graphic design principles using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar platforms.
Assist with communication strategies, including email campaign planning and storytelling initiatives.
Support event promotions and help increase community and professional engagement through creative outreach.
Collaborate with the team as a creative problem-solver, bringing fresh ideas and bold designs.
Other projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to work between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (M-F).
Graphic design experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.
Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing strategies.
Knowledge of brand design and accessibility best practices.
Strong written and visual communicator who can adapt messages for multiple audiences.
A collaborative spirit and a willingness to experiment and "try stuff out."
Creativity and enthusiasm for developing eye-catching, accessible content.
Position Duration: This is a Fall 2025 - Spring 2026 position. Possibility of position continuing.
Salary range: $10.00 - $15.00/hour, depending on qualifications and experience
Work Shift: 10 hours a week
Working Conditions: Remote/work from home
