Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Mechanical Designer. The Mechanical Designer will create/review models and BOM's for power distribution equipment including Metal-Clad Switchgear, Metal-Eclosed Switchgear and Panelboards.

Job Duties:

  • Review electrical diagrams and requirements from electrical engineering
  • Convert electrical drawings into a mechanical package including elevations, section views and bill of material
  • Provide electrical engineering with mechanical components of drawing package
  • Release bill of material for purchasing and fabrication
  • Provide support to mechanical engineering team for additional drafting and modeling based on standards and existing designs
  • Provide support to manufacturing regarding project questions and issues
  • Interact with electrical engineering, and project management as required
  • Communicate job status, including possible issues, with supervisor
