Job Description

We are seeking a Plumbing Engineer or Designer with direct experience in designing plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. A minimum of five years of working experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating design drawings, specifications, and performing code-compliant calculations for plumbing systems including:

• Domestic water
• Hot water generation & distribution
• Sanitary waste & vent
• Storm drain
• Gas systems
  
  

The Plumbing Systems Designer will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop plumbing design documents that meet client expectations and industry standards. This role requires both technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively across project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for commercial buildings
• Prepare plumbing layouts, diagrams, and specifications
• Perform calculations for pipe sizing, water demand, drainage, and venting
• Ensure compliance with applicable plumbing codes and standards
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors on project requirements
• Participate in site visits, project meetings, and construction administration
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs related to plumbing systems
  
  

Qualifications / Skills Required

• Proven experience in plumbing systems design
• Proficiency in Autodesk REVIT and Microsoft Office software
• Working knowledge of plumbing codes and standards (IPC, UPC, NFPA, etc.)
• Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills
