THE POSITION
The Graphics Supervisor leads the City's graphic design team in the creation and delivery of high-impact visual materials across print, digital, and web platforms. This role oversees daily operations, project coordination, and quality assurance while ensuring all design work aligns with City branding, accessibility, and communication standards. The Graphics Supervisor manages staff assignments, production workflows, vendor relationships, and budgetary needs, serving as a strategic partner in citywide visual communications. As a key leader in the Media & Communications Division, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping how Moreno Valley presents itself to the public.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a seasoned design professional and inspiring team leader with a strong background in visual communication, project management, and creative direction. They bring advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a deep understanding of branding, typography, and production techniques across multiple media formats. With a collaborative mindset and strategic vision, they guide the graphics team in delivering polished, consistent, and accessible materials that support City initiatives and public engagement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college and university with a degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Communications, or Marketing, and at least three (3) years of professional experience in graphic design, including one (1) year in a lead or supervisory role. Experience working for a governmental agency is preferred.

ABOUT THE CITY MANAGERS DEPARTMENT
Functions of this office include coordination of the implementation of City Council policies and programs; providing overall direction to the departments that administer City programs and services; coordinating intergovernmental relations and legislative advocacy; and administration of the City's Technology Services Division, media relations, public information and intergovernmental relations and public safety contract administrator.
