Tech Lead Software Engineer, 3D Graphics 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Responsibilities Serve as the technical lead in designing and implementing next‑generation XR standards (e.g., OpenXR and other open standards). Represent the team in the OpenXR Working Group and actively drive standardization efforts. Develop and enhance the runtime software with a focus on performance, extensibility, and reliability. Collaborate closely with the PICO OS, Engine, Product, and SDK teams to deliver seamless end‑to‑end functionality, with a strong emphasis on user experience. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Hands‑on experience with open standards such as OpenXR, OpenGL, Vulkan, MaterialX, or OpenUSD. Strong foundational knowledge of XR technologies and spatial concepts (e.g. rendering, input, tracking, and compositing). Advanced proficiency in C/C++ and low‑level system programming. Proven track record in implementing 3D graphics systems and performance‑critical features. Preferred Qualifications Experience in developing AR/VR applications or runtime infrastructure. Background in game engine development, especially in graphics or low‑latency input pipelines. SDK development experience, particularly for external developer platforms. Familiarity with native Android development, including Android Services and IPC mechanisms. Active involvement in Khronos Group or contributions to the OpenXR community is a strong plus. Job Information The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $208,800 – $438,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
