Mid-Level UI Production Designer
Location: Bellevue OR Denver
$42/hr - $54/hr
1-year contract-to-hre
A typical day will be highly focused on detail, organization, and technical execution:
- You'll spend your time maintaining organized, production-ready Figma files and upholding strong file hygiene practices. Deep proficiency in Figma, including component creation, variants, and library management, is non-negotiable.
- Act as the ultimate design quality gate. You'll ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and brand alignment are met, preparing and polishing final design files for development handoff with pixel-perfect accuracy and consistency.
- Serve as a go-to expert on our Enterprise Design System and Toolkit. You'll implement, extend, and advocate for the proper use of system components, spacing, and visual patterns across real-world digital experiences.
- Partner closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers. You'll stay hands-on through build and QA, reviewing developed products, flagging design QA issues, and guiding in-dev refinements post-handoff.
- Identify opportunities to streamline production processes and contribute to system documentation to elevate design system literacy across the wider team.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Figma is mandatory, specifically with component-based design using libraries, variants, and tokens.
- Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in UI design or production design.
- Design Systems: Demonstrated experience working with or contributing to a large-scale, enterprise-level design system.
- Visual Craft: Strong visual design, layout skills, and an exacting attention to detail.
- Technical Understanding: Understanding of responsive design and how to optimize for multiple platforms (web, mobile, app).
